We’ve really enjoyed many of the places on this list. Tilden Park and Golden Gate Park are longtime favorites for our family, and the Bay Area Discovery Museum always feels like a special treat with its incredible views and creative play spaces. We’re looking forward to checking out Fitzgerald Marine Reserve for tide pooling and revisiting Fairyland in Oakland now that our youngest is getting more adventurous. 😊

It’s so nice having a go-to list like this for weekend ideas or when visitors come into town 🌿🐾

A few other fun and educational places we love and wanted to share are:

*Roaring Camp Railroad in Felton, which has charming train rides and seasonal events like Thomas the Tank Engine days.

Toddlers move at their own rhythm and this guide really respects that. I appreciated how it mixed museums, nature, and cozy ideas that don’t require a ton of prep. The sensory-based recommendations were spot on and gave me new ways to lean into those quiet moments between big activities. This one really honors the 🌎world toddlers live in.
