At TikiLand Daycare & Preschool, our number one priority is the health and safety of the children. We are taking all of the proactive measures that we can to remain covid-19 free. We are a daycare and preschool that originally focused most of the day outdoors surrounded by nature. Since we are primarily an outdoor based daycare, following the rules of covid-19 have not been the most difficult for us. Most of our activities continue to remain outdoors for example- lunch time in the patio, story time in the sunshade patio, guided play time in the outdoor covered patio. Since Covid-19, we have moved more activities outside to best promote social distancing and space between children.
Staff members are required to wear face coverings while inside the facility. Face coverings are recommended inside the facility for Preschool, Pre-K, and Kindergarten. If local guidance evolves we will update parents accordingly.
Staff and Children will be required to wash their hands or apply hand sanitizer throughout the day. High touch items and surfaces will be disinfected throughout the day and each night.
Staff & Children will have their temperature taken prior to entering the facility. Anyone with a temperature over 100.4 degrees is not permitted to enter the facility. If a child becomes ill during care day, parents will be notified and asked to take their child home immediately. They will remain in a sperate area until pick up. If a child becomes ill with fever and/or flu-like symptoms, they may not return to the facility until the fever is gone for AT LEAST 24 hours.
