HOURS OF OPERATION
We are open from 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday (Saturday option pending). We have option for an early day start and a late day pick up. The early day start begins at 7:00am-7:30. The late day pickup is offered from 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m.

We enroll children for full–day care and ½ day care, with a two day per week minimum. (Priority is given to full day/time clients) Drop-offs typically happen between 7:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m. and pick-ups between 4:30 p.m.–5:45 p.m.

We ask that you keep the drop-off and pick-up process to 5 minutes as to avoid traffic problems and lessen the confusion on the children, parents, and staff.

 

PRESCHOOL
 

Foreign Language -  At least one of the teachers in every classroom is bi-lingual and leads children through Spanish numbers, songs, stories, and books on a daily basis. The primary language is Spanish with exposure to Farsi and French.

 

Technology - We feature 2 Little Tikes IBM computer stations with educational games and programs to help you little one learn and get ready for the 21st century. 

 

 

 

MEALS

We provide nutritious meals and snacks prepared with emphasis on the children’s daily nutritional needs.

We encourage children to drink water every day and develop the habit of thoroughly washing their hands before eating.

Be sure to inform us of any food allergies for your child.

 

DIAPERING AND POTTY TRAINING

Parents are responsible for providing wipes and diapers.

As soon as the child is ready we can assist with potty training.  Children are encouraged to sit on the potty several times a day regardless of need to go to encourage the habit of using the restroom.

 

Naptime

For those children who are enrolled in the full day program, will be given an opportunity to nap or rest without distraction. A napping space and cot will be available for each child. We require that each child have a complete change of clothing, blanket, and a cot sheet. The change of clothes should be placed in a zip lock bag with their name to be kept in their personal cubby. We request that the blanket and cot sheet to be cleaned every weekend and brought to school every Monday. Please label all items with your child’s name CLEARLY.

 

 

PRIMARY CARE
Each child is assigned a primary care provider – a single teacher who is primarily focused on that child. Primary care providing allows children to build trust and bond more easily with their teachers. While both teachers in a classroom will be aware of and able to meet your child’s needs at any time, knowing that your child has one teacher who is particularly familiar with and tuned into your child’s needs provides you with added security and ease with communication.
 

 

ANIMALS
We have a variety of animals throughout the Center. In the yard you will currently find rabbits, a pair of doves, a pair of cockatiels and two very small kid loving dogs. We encourage the kids to interact with the animals and learn responsibility by assisting in the care of them. (feeding, watering, etc)

 

 

OUTDOOR PLAY
What makes Tiki-Land extraordinary is it’s outdoor play area and garden.

Tiki-Land encourages the children to play outside at least several times a day during rain or sunshine. If the weather allows the class times will also be held outside to enjoy the fresh air and wonderful weather that California has to offer.

In the yard you will enjoy a beautiful green and natural play space that caters to children’s natural craving for adventure. The yard has a beautiful bamboo fence that encompasses the children in an atmosphere that promotes adventure and feeds the urge to explore for more knowledge.

 

 

Field Trips

Children will have the opportunity to go on exploratory field trips to many different locations (farms,museums, etc)

 

 

Enrichment Programs

There are many enrichment programs that are included in our tuition. However, at a low fee your child can also participate in other programs such as yoga, cooking, martial arts, etc.
